I had three options on where to fish that day, the first being the open at Tunnel Barn, the second being the open at Manor Farm and the third was fishing a club match again at Manor farm with the Iffers lads.
I chose the third option as it is always and enjoyable day out with the Iffers lads, they are a cracking club with some right characters to boot. The lake they had booked was Windmill lake as well which I had fished the previous week.
At the draw, I wasn't really bothered where I drew to be honest, around the second Island would have been nice as some right lumps live around there but it wasn't that important.
Amazingly I drew peg 6 again! The same peg as I had the previous week! This time though I had someone on peg 7 and Glyn on peg 4 and Sam as the end peg 1.
I went for exactly the same tactics as previous week, a line at 5m fishing soft pellet over dampened micros. Then a long line tight to the island fishing corn and pellet over damp micros and 4mm's.
The fishing was a lot harder this week though, the wind was a nightmare trying to get any sort of presentation and I lost a few fish pulling out of them thanks to strong gusts whilst I was shipping back. I also lost two fish in the brambles in snags, the same ones as I'd lost that last fish in the previous week.
It was a hard match though I think it was a mere 22lb I weighed in, mainly of F1's. The guy to my right had one roach all day and Glyn to my left had about 10lb. Sam won the match with 60lb off peg one in the corner catching long down the edge. Guttingly though I just missed out on my section thanks to Hammer weighing 24lb, mostly thanks to a 16lb mirror that he got out from the second island!
Nice day though despite the difficult conditions and its always a great crack fishing with these lads.
